SHEPHERDS GREEN
Situated in Chislehurst, this beautiful Arts and Crafts-style family home was designed by architect E J May and built in 1910.
This project aimed to bring new life to a beloved home while respecting its historical style. The works included creating front gates, designed to mimic the beautiful arched window on the second floor. Relocating the kitchen to the back of the property, including a large garden room to bring the outside in and create lots of natural light. Removing modern radiators and installing cast iron radiators in keeping with the period style, preserving cornicing and existing floors where possible. Redesigning the layout of the master bedroom and ensuite, including adding a walk-in wardrobe and an additional bathroom to the adjacent bedroom. Fireplaces that required upgrading were replaced with new ones, including log burners or gas fires. A coal shed was transformed into a bathroom/dog shower.
